The famous Irish award winning writer Maeve Binchy passes away at the young age of 72 after a short illness.
Maeve Binchy was best known for some of her novels such as ‘A Circle of Friends’, ‘Light and Penny Candle’ and her most recent novel in 2010 ‘Minding Frankie’.
The 72 year old was given a lifetime achievement award by the Irish Book Awards in 2010 to commerate her achievements in short story writing and novels.
She is survived by her husband writer Gordon Snell, our thoughts are with her family at this time and we think of the achievements this amazing woman received in her lifetime. She will forever live on in her novels and stories which will be read by many for many years
